![]() Unplugged the Gamepad, plugged it again and let Windows reinstall the whole thing by itself. Please :3 I will be quick to respond and will post things as I find them. For some reason I decided to go to the Device manager and uninstall the 'Xbox 360 Controller for Windows'. I will be digging into this issue as i have been this week in other words Am3 AMD Phenom X4 965 3.4 CPU * HIS Radeon HD 7750 PCI ex * 2013 MSI 970A-G43 Mainboard * 8GB DDR3 RAM Gskill Ripjaws * 5.1 Diamond Extreme. Now click on 'browse my Computer for driver Software' and click on 'let me pick from a list of device drivers on my Computer' and scroll down until you see Microsoft common controller for Windows and click it. If you see your device right click it and click on update driver software. Obviously this is a driver problem of sorts Any help would be highly appreciated. Go to control panel, then click in device manager. I used the command to see if it would list my pad anywhere but it said just usbcore driver no "led device" or "pad1" just nothing. ![]() So I do some digging and ran across this page. The options wont detect any input and when I bring up valve's console and exec 360controller everything says all joy buttons are not valid keys. All of them do this so that's good i assume as the driver at least detects it in someway as its not just blindly blinking. Okay so first its plugged in and it shows the first player light on like it should be working. Official Microsoft Hard Wired 360 Controller I've heard a lot of peoples controllers work right off the bat on steam but all of mine did not. Then I installed Team Fortress 2 on steam. I installed all updates, my 32 bit libraries, Steam, and my amd graphics driver first off. Lately I installed the latest Ubuntu LTS 64 bit on my rig. Hope it helps other people.Okay so I've done alot of trial and error on the subject of gaming on Ubuntu and Mint, all on fresh installs fully updated. or is very knowledgeable about going into the system files and manually creating something else which is more advanced. I wrote this because I could not find a good solution that didn't involve resetting RA from scratch, or messing with drivers which only worked for some people. These aren't the exact steps but if you've had to troubleshoot usb devices before (its windows so im guessing most people have ) then you should be able to find it easy enough. Microsoft Xbox 360 USB controller/adapter. I may try copying the steam profiles to the pc version to see if I get a more accurate selection. Right click the USB device (controller/adapter) Troubleshoot. ![]() the pc version I have won't allow me to change the controller profiles. I do not know if it was a keyboard input without a controller input or if that is the reason why it saw my keyboard as my main controller based on more mapped buttons in the keyboard's config vs a generic gamepad. ![]() On it you will find tournament schedules, rules, directions, and hotel. Note: The turbo button I was trying to remap to was 元 however the input was recognized as 4. Because of this, the Xbox 360 was designed to be extremely secure from a software. I think my steam version does work but the pc does not even when using analog left/forced left. afterward, the keyboard and controller were both functional. what I did was unplug my keyboard navigated with a mouse to input under general settings and remapped my controller then saved the remap. which told me it had assumed the id of my xbox elite 2. My solution: I noticed when i unplugged my keyboard and replugged it was Identified as Bluetooth controller xe input even though it is connected usb. based on my research and my own theory RA picks whatever controller it believes is the best. there is a port 0 i believe for mouse and keyboard idk if you are allowed to modify it. In devices, I noticed my keyboard (generic old keyboard) was labeled as a gamepad after I remapped turbo settings in RA which after my controller was not useable but the same device name was connected to port 1. I believe RA defaults the controller based on your devices and how they are classified. This solution doesn't work for everyone so I want to add what worked for me and why I think it worked.
